Entry for Google Meet & Zoom App Reviews

7 Customer Reviews:

Hi, App is fine, but theres no support for multi accounts. If we are logged in browser with 2 accounts for example, app will join hangout only using the first identity, not the one were logged in the app (its issue related to authuser, it should be detected and included in URL for hangout).

This app is amazing for getting into hangouts quickly. I use the Mac Calendar app and hate having to open up Google Calendar on the web just to join a hangout. Now I never have to again.

I’ve only used it for a bit but it seems to do what it says. Pros: * Shows upcoming meetings. * Easily start scheduled hangouts. * Easily start new hangouts. * Doesn’t consume too many resources. Cons: * If you use a dark menu bar, the popup colors look messed up. * If you click outside of the popup, I expect it to close but it stays open until you click the menubar icon again. * It does not show the date of events. It just lists the time. * It does not show which calendar the event is in. * It would be nice if it could also update the calendar entry to show the hangout link when you happen to be in the Calendar app. * The developer’s website does not list an email address or support form for you to provide this feedback.

Not what expected

I work need a messenger pop up without being on gmail. Similar features as the iMessage, but able to send a message to co-workers through hangout.

App is good, and works ad described. A nice and easy way to join Google hangouts. However, v1.1.0 introduced a small graphic/display bug and Emailed support, but got no response. Not a huge deal for me, but if you have issues, don’t expect much help.

My company uses Google Apps for Business for email and Google Hangouts for their internal meetings. I prefer using a 3rd party app for email however every email client I tried did not have the option to click through to the Google Hangout. Entry provided a simple and reliable solution to this issue. I’d hightly recommend.

The app doesn’t load anymore, I just get repeated popups with "The operation couldn’t be completed. (com.google.HTTPStatus error 400.)” I emailed Support and heard nothing back, so this now gets a 1 start rating from me.

Doesn't work at all and...

Hangs up with an https error. Have to kill -9 the process before you can remove it. So if you're a non-technical user, you will want to avoid this at all costs!

Does it’s job; could be better

Overall works well, but two issues make this somewhat frustrating to use: a. Doesn’t handle overlapping meetings very well. So if you have two things scheduled at the same time, it doesn’t show both of them, and instead randomly picks one. b. If you ever connect to an internet connection with a sign-in gate (eg. at an airport), this goes OFF the hook! It pops up an error message saying that it was unable to connect. If you press OK, the dialog pops up again. It keeps repeating over and over, locking your screen’s focus on it. You have to find a way to remember to kill it before connecting to a hotel or another foreign network...

functional, but ugly

works as advertised, looks awful when dark mode is enabled. based off what i see on their website, theres no way to contact the author to ask about whether or not there’s a fix planned. unfortunately, cant say id recommend it until better fits in with the visual style of OS X.
